It was an extremely hot July day when we split our U12's squad into two teams for our first tournament of 2021 over at Trowbridge.
Taking two teams allowed as many of the boys as possible the chance to play in the tournament to not only develop their confidence and match experience, but to also allow them to simply have some fun and bond as a team even more so than they have done over the past few months.
Both teams were brimming with excitement and spirits were high as they kicked off. The players in our yellow and blue kit got off to a fantastic start in what was a very tough grouping. They most certainly held their own however and we saw some brilliant goals, some brilliant saves and perhaps most importantly, some brilliant team work.
The boys wearing the pink and purple away kit, also gave it their all, making their way through to a very hot and nail biting final of the tournament which they only went and won!!!!
We are beyond proud of both teams (and the few boys that couldn't join us on the day) for of course winning-what an achievement! but generally speaking for their infectious enthusiasm for the game, their team spirit and friendships, and for turning up every single week, twice a week to practice.
Their dedication is an absolute pleasure to watch and we as parents and coaches couldn't be any more proud of each and every of you!
